Welcome to my personal website. I am a professor in the and the for . My research explores the limits of our own minds and the reasons why we often are unaware of our limits. I teach classes in the field of visual cognition at the undergraduate and graduate level, and I also teach introductory psychology.

Beyond my academic work, I am a  My first book,, was was first published in 2010 (by Crown). It became a NY Times bestseller and has been translated into more than a dozen languages worldwide.

I am also the founder and president of a company that produces and distributes DVD presentation tools that help teachers and speakers illustrate the limits of visual perception and attention.
